2016-12-30

The selective trials of 2016 APRC Asia-Pacific Youth Robot Competition in East China were held on Jul. 9 at Suzhou Sino-Canada School. This competition was hosted by the APRC Council and organized by Morning Dot (Shanghai) Education Technology   Co., Ltd. Zhiming Qiu (Chairman of Morning Dot Education) was invited to serve as the chief judge of the competition and comprehensively lead various works of the competition due to his outstanding performance at the 2016 China Maker Education Summit Forum (i.e. the first STEAM International Education Seminar) and in the training of national APRC judges and coaches.

APRC is the first open international robotics competition in the world for which Chinese have established competition rules, and the Real Steel and Mogong Robot Challenge under APRC are leading the vigorous development of the adolescent robot education industry in China. Morning Dot Education, under the leadership of Zhiming Qiu, as a member of the Asia-Pacific Youth Robot Competition Council, has successfully hosted the selective trials of 2016APRC Asia-Pacific Youth Robot Competition in East China, which reflects the positive affirmation and high recognition of Morning Dot Education and Chairman Zhiming Qiu's pioneering position in the field of robotics programming.

During the competition, Zhiming Qiu overcame the difficulties faced by APRC as an open international robotics competition in terms of equipment scale and penalty standards in cooperation with the APRC Council and made changes in the Real Steel and Mogong Robot Challenge radically, the adolescent players participating the project were required to use the sensory devices researched and developed independently for control and not to use the remote control devices, thereby the viewing value and technical quality of the competition were greatly improved.
